Breaking & Schooling
After such demand, Wylderswoode Stud is now taking horses and ponies in for breaking, schooling, re-schooling, show prep and sales prep.
Here at Wylderswoode Stud we have alot of experience with not only breeding, but also the producing of youngsters, working sympathetically with each horse/pony as an individual, ensuring they are started in the best possible way to create a happy horse. We pride ourselves in our dedication to the care, methods and results we achieve with all the horses and ponies that pass through Wylderswoode Stud.
We take all types of horses and ponies at all stages of their schooling, from the unbacked youngster, to the horse that may need a 'refresher course', or the horse that has had a period of time without work for whatever reason. If your horse has a specific problem e.g. difficulty loading, then we can help discover the best possible way of dealing with such problems.
Whilst working with each individual horse/pony, we ensure that time is spent establishing groundwork, it is important the horse feels balanced, comfortable and happy with each phase of the backing process before moving onto the next step.
There is no set time it takes to back a horse or pony, the progress of each youngster is dictated by its individual physical and mental maturity, but you can rest assured that your horse or pony is being produced carefully and properly for optimum success.
We are strong believers in ensuring both horse and owner are working happily together as a team before leaving the stud, after all it is important that you are getting the best from your horse, not just us! We still offer support and/or lessons when your horse has returned home, no matter how long after they have left us!
